Denpasar at a glance

Denpasar is a southern Bali city of temples, museums and easy journeys to Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. Tanah Lot, Uluwatu Temple, Sanur, Seminyak, Kuta, the Bali Museum, Bajra Sandhi Monument, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Ubud as a day-trip base sit on traffic-heavy roads rather than a metro, with further outings to Ubud, Uluwatu, Tanah Lot and Nusa Penida only where current boats, roads and opening hours allow. Most visitors arrive at Ngurah Rai (DPS). Respectful temple dress, family pacing and a calm airport arrival matter more than trying to cover every beach.
