Dubai is a spread-out city of towers, creek dhows, malls and desert landscapes. Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain, the Museum of the Future, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Mosque, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, Dubai Creek and Jumeirah Beach are linked by metro, tram and taxi rather than one compact centre. Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and the desert require separate outings. The airports are Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum (DWC). A nol card simplifies travel by metro, tram and bus, while the heat should shape each day's plan.
