Rhodes at a glance
Rhodes Town is a medieval walled harbour on a large Dodecanese island. The Old Town, Palace of the Grand Master, Street of the Knights, Mandraki, Archaeological Museum, Elli Beach, Lindos, Anthony Quinn Bay, Kallithea Springs and the Valley of the Butterflies sit in walkable or day-trip areas, with further trips to Symi, Prasonisi, Seven Springs and Kamiros.
Quick information
Shoulder months suit the walled town without peak heat. Summer is beach weather; stone streets and Lindos need an early start and shade.
